A Guide to our Deco traditional vanity units…

The Art Deco movement was one of the most influential bursts of creativity to date, hence some of the world’s most iconic architecture denoting Art Deco style. The movement was in reference to affluent tastes, often within jazz, cocktails and luxury status. New York’s Empire State, the Chrysler building and London’s Senate House are just a few to name that have design cues in common with our Deco vanity units – beautiful symmetry, perfect use of geometric shapes and distinctive ornamental elements.

Vanity units are a beautiful addition to any bathroom, not just for aesthetic purposes but for practicality, providing functional storage points for bathrooms large or small. Our Deco vanity units are designed to exude palatial luxury, upgrading your bathroom interior with a vanity cabinet that’s exceptional in quality and high in practicality. Taking cues from 1920s glamour and fusing with the modern aesthetic of Lusso, our Deco vanity units are a fitting homage to the interiors of the Art Deco movement. Available in three styles – the Eaton, Charsley and Connaught – three tasteful colours and in sizes 600mm to 1600mm, we’ve created a guide to help you find the perfect bathroom vanity unit…

The Charsley

A wall mounted vanity unit is renowned for its practicality, particularly for those working with a smaller interior space. Our wall hung Charsley vanity unit is a product that’s beautiful in aesthetic without compromising on space, with plenty of space underneath for hiding away products. The Charsley is defined by its sweeping curves, geometric lines and honed cove ogee bevelled edging – a distinctive homage to its influence. Topped with our beautiful Carrara marble with a built-in oval basin, each Charsley vanity is crafted with plenty of storage – the space dependent on its size – for the storing of bathroom, cleaning or vanity products. The Charsley is an option for those working with restrictive space, great for its storage and space-saving properties while in keeping with its beautiful traditional taste.

The Connaught

The Connaught is a freestanding style, impeccably designed to denote luxury status. Taking similarities to the Charsley, the Connaught contains the same countertop structure with stunning Carrara surrounding a built in basin, however the vanity differs with beautiful arches to the stand, differing per size of the vanity – the smaller sizes creating a soft curved arch and the larger vanities showcasing Dupont corners, a design that was prominent in the Art Deco movement.

The Eaton

The floorstanding Eaton is a perfect example of the architectural inspirations profound within our Deco range, defined by its perfect symmetry, parallel lines and distinctive corners. Minus the cove ogee bevelling, the Eaton again pays similarity to its sister vanities, though creates a subtle contrast with its sharp edges and beautiful use of angles. Each Eaton vanity is crowned by the luxurious Italian Carrara marble and contains a built in basin, as well as the practical storage found throughout the vanity range.

Each of our vanities are crafted with a soft closing, push to open cabinet door mechanism. This smooth mechanism negates the need for door handles on the vanity, however our polished nickel brassware is designed to work cohesively with our Deco vanities to create a palatial look and finish if handles are preferred. Our vanity units come in three colours – matte white, matte stone and matte cream – and each matte white vanity unit is also primed to give you full creativity on your chosen finish as part of the #LussoCreative campaign that will be coming soon to Lusso.
