Since first opening its doors in 1875, Liberty has not only become a much loved London landmark, but also one of the world’s most celebrated luxury department stores.

CULT CLASSICS

Situated on the capital’s bustling Regent Street, Liberty’s picturesque Tudor revival building - which was updated in 1924 - is home to a wide range of clothing, jewellery, homewares, and beauty products from illustrious brands, making it a must-visit destination for discerning shoppers and tourists.

Alongside its reputation for desirable collections and exceptional customer service, the tastemaking retailer is also renowned for pioneering up and coming luxury labels. The heritage-listed London icon has helped to create demand for many cult classics across its six floors, and was the first UK stockist to offer ranges from highly-regarded brands such as Byredo, JW Anderson, Le Labo, Hourglass, and Maria Tash.

Engineered around three atriums, Liberty features small rooms, soft furnishings and fireplaces to give the store a unique, homely feel

TIMELESS TEXTILES

Liberty is also best-known for its extensive collection of fabrics, with a historic archive of over 50,000 of its own prints featuring hand-painted artwork. Enabling customers to craft their own clothing and furnishings in classic patterns, including Liberty’s famous 1930s florals, the high quality fabrics are also favoured by a wide range of fashion, footwear and lifestyle brands.

Over the years, scores of high-end labels and household names - including J.Crew, Carhartt WIP, A.P.C., Kenzo, Acne Studios, Nike and Vans - have collaborated with the emporium to produce lines featuring its sumptuous fabrics. Its distinctive patterns can also be found across everything from sewing boxes to shower caps, illustrating the demand for its timeless textile designs.

BEYOND RETAIL

Constantly evolving, Liberty is also now beginning to build out its own beauty brand, which it kickstarted in 2023 with the launch of its own fragrance collection. Offering a selection of five scents that each explore the beauty and inspiration behind some of its most iconic prints, the range is exclusively available via Liberty’s London and online store, however it aims to broaden distribution in the future in partnership with other luxury retailers.

Such ambitious plans are part of Liberty’s longer term vision to achieve global recognition as a standalone luxury brand, leveraging its worldwide adoration and lasting cultural impact.
