Situated in the Northumberland countryside, Charlton Hall is a private Grade II* listed, 18th century estate that's secluded by trees and looks out towards the coast, offering an intimate setting for bespoke weddings and events. Adding to its extravagance, Charlton Hall has recently introduced The Tempus - a sumptuous bar and stunning restaurant with 15 new boutique bedrooms.
The rebellious and bold style that Charlton Hall is renowned for is mirrored throughout The Tempus, which features an eccentric scheme created by Jeffreys Interiors - an Edinburgh-based interior design studio that has a weird, wonderful and daring approach. With an enchanting interior that's inspired by Alice in Wonderland, the vibrant, distinctive and 'entirely bonkers' space also takes its name from the Latin word for time, a key theme throughout Lewis Carroll's classic tale.

Each suite offers completely unique experiences for guests to enjoy, and the ensuite bathrooms feature numerous Lusso designs to add a touch of luxury and elegance to the distinctive interiors.
The Picasso bath sits in The Tempus Junior Suite, discreetly located behind a wall in the open plan layout. Accompanied by our Picasso basins in the ensuite bathroom, both designs in pebble grey match beautifully and are completed with our wall mounted basin taps in brushed gold.
The Tempus also features a selection of Superior King Rooms with ensuite bathrooms that offer a sense of playfulness and excitement. Alongside flamboyant wallpaper and eccentric details, our Amalfi bath is the perfect design choice, defined by its unique silhouette and hourglass curves that offers guests 'either end' bathing. Perfectly complementing the Amalfi bath, the en-suites also include Lusso thermostatic showers and wall mounted bath taps in opulent brushed gold finishes.
To maximise space, a selection of the ensuite bathrooms are designed with shower enclosures and freestanding bath combinations to negate tight areas and provide guests with a spa-like bathroom. The family ensuite features our Designo countertop basin in the distinctive Panda marble, which works in contrast with deep green marble tiles. Our Panda marble is the ideal option for the bold setting, with its unique black and gunmetal grey swatches on a crisp white background, adding timeless character to a striking space.
