BUYING GUIDE

TILES

The Lusso tile collection includes a diverse range of wall and floor tiles, all beautifully crafted from the highest grade materials. Including porcelain, marble and travertine tiles, the collection offers over 40 different designs to suit all interior design themes.

FLAWLESS MATERIALS

There are many factors to consider when it comes to choosing a material for your tiles. You should take into account the area in your home in which the tiles will be installed, whether the surfaces are likely to get wet, and how you want the overall finish to look. If you’re searching for bathroom tiles, you should ensure that the anti-slip rating is high enough to offer optimum safety levels, particularly for commercial developments.

STYLING TO CREATE A TEXTURED FEATURE WALL

Tiles can be used to create a striking feature wall. Feature walls can be created with anything from paint and wallpaper to acoustic panelling, but tiles can be just as practical in creating a beautiful focal point. Here, you can mix your tiles to allow a certain area in your space to really stand out. This is best done by blending textures, such as flat surfaces with something more visual and tactile, such as fluting or mosaic. You can even create feature strips with your tiles, where you may not necessarily tile the whole wall with a feature tile, but a small surface strip in the centre of the wall.

PORCELAIN

Porcelain is extremely durable, which is why it’s one of the most popular materials to craft tiles. Porcelain tiles are also non-flammable, and therefore cannot be damaged by cigarettes, embers, hot liquids, or flames. Made from natural raw materials, our porcelain tile range includes designs in a range of neutral colours - including grey, neutral beige, light stone, and darker taupe - with finishes that offer the tactile texture of travertine and limestone.

TRAVERTINE

Used widely in architecture for centuries, travertine is renowned for its durability and natural aesthetic. Our range includes the Romano fluted tiles, which are expertly crafted from fluted travertine with a honed finish and beautiful Greek-inspired design - perfect for a feature wall within a bathroom.

MARBLE

Marble is a luxurious material renowned for its unique and opulent appearance. Not only is marble beautiful, each piece is also entirely individual, making it a favourite in homes and hotels around the world. Our marble tile range includes Carrara, Tunisian Grey, Nero Marquina and Calacatta, with fluted, mosaic, and raw cut styles available.

ANTI-SLIP PROTECTION

Our tiles feature the highest quality TechGrip® technology, with P and R test certification. This expert grading ensures that our tiles offer excellent non-slip properties, are extremely smooth surfaced, and come with anti-stain protection which makes them suitable for use in all living spaces, including kitchens and bathrooms. TechGrip® technology meets the needs of both bare feet and footwear, and offers maximum safety for accident prevention - essential for areas that often come into contact with water such as showers and kitchen floors. The easy-to-clean tiles are R9 and R10 anti-slip certified, Class 5 stain resistant, and P2 touch rated, meaning that the tiles are smooth to touch, resistant to staining, and offer excellent grip levels. Our designs with a P4 certification also ensure a very low slip risk when wet, enabling tiles to be installed outdoors and around swimming pools.

MEASURING YOUR SPACE

For a flawless finish, it’s important to select the accurate amount of tiles you need for the required space. To help you create an estimate, we’ve created a step-by-step guide on how to measure the dimensions of your walls and floors.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR WALL OR FLOOR

Step 1 - Measure the length of the wall or floor you are wanting to tile.

Step 2 - Measure the height of the wall or floor you are wanting to tile.

Step 3 - If you are tiling multiple walls or floors, make sure to do this for every surface area.

Step 4 - Use the Lusso tile calculator (you can find this on the product page of the tiles you are wanting) to input the measurements you have taken.

Step 5 - Our tile calculator will have given you the number of tiles/packs needed to successfully tile your wall(s) or floor(s).

Tip - If you have the floor plans of your home, you may have access to the measurements already, so simply input these into the Lusso tile calculator.

If you need any further information on the number of tiles needed, call us at 020 3370 4057.

Measurement Guide

WASTAGE ALLOWANCE

With all Lusso tiles, we give the option to add an extra 10% of tiles to your order. We strongly recommend that you do this as although your measurements may be accurate, there may be instances where, if your room is angular shaped, that you may need offcuts to fill the space. In the instance that you need extra tiles, it’s best to have spares at hand, and if you don’t use them, it’s always advisable to keep replacements in case of any accidents that may cause defects with the tiles.

TILE TRIMS

Your tile trims should echo the luxury aesthetic you’re aiming to achieve with your tiles, which is why our collection includes a selection of tile trims in a range of signature Lusso finishes. Your tile trims will finish off your tiled space and provide a protective barrier, especially when connecting floor and wall tiles, window ledges, and joining walls. Our tile trims are available in matte black, brushed gold, chrome, and brushed stainless, designed to match our signature taps, showers, and accessories.

PACKAGED FOR PROTECTION

All Lusso tiles are carefully packaged in a protective casing, and each individual tile wrapped in protective film to prevent friction against one another. Plastic corners are situated on the packaging to ensure that all tiles arrive in the same condition that they left our warehouse in.
